Vol. 23 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNTENANTED LANDS IN CO. KILDARE.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he will now instruct the Land Commission to acquire, for the relief of congestion, the untenanted lands, containing 173 acres, in the townland of Kilbelan, Newbridge, County Kildare, held by Mr. Patrick Bobbett.

As I informed the Deputy on 15th February last the Land Commission made an offer for the purchase of the lands of Kilbelan referred to, but the offer was not accepted. The Land Commission have fully considered all the aspects of the case and have decided not to proceed further at present with the acquisition of these lands.
