CONSTITUTION OF THE SEANAD. - SLAUGHTERED ANIMALS (COMPENSATION) BILL, 1928—FIRST STAGE.

I move that leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled "an Act to provide for the establishment, maintenance and management of a fund for the payment of compensation to the owners of certain live stock which are exported from Saorstát Eireann and slaughtered under the authority of law at a port in Great Britain in consequence of an outbreak or suspected outbreak or apprehended danger of foot and mouth disease, and to make provision for the method of investigating and determining claims for such compensation."

Leave granted. Second Stage ordered for Thursday, 24th May, 1928.
