CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. Oral Answers. - ARREARS OF LAND ANNUITIES IN LEIX AND OFFALY.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he can state the total amount of arrears due to the Irish Land Commission in County Leix and County Offaly for the year ending the 31st December, 1927; and the number of decrees handed to the Sheriff for collection in the same period within the said counties.

The arrears of Land Purchase Annuities at the 31st January, 1928, in the Counties of Offaly and Leix amounted to £21,010 and £15,116 respectively. The number of decrees handed to the Sheriffs for Offaly and Leix for collection of arrears due to the Land Commission in the year ending the 31st December, 1927, amounted to 38 and 163 respectively.
