CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. Oral Answers. - CO. KERRY LAND ANNUITIES.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he will state (a) the number of seizures made in Kerry in the year 1927 in respect of land annuities due to the Irish Land Commission; (b) the total amount due to the Land Commission by the people on whom the seizures were made; and (c) the total net amount, after deducting all expenses incurred in collection, credited to the Land Commission in respect of these seizures.

In the year 1927 seizures were made in eleven cases by the Under-Sheriff for County Kerry, for the purpose of recovering arrears of the Land Purchase Annuities, etc.

The total debt due to the Land Commission in the eleven cases in question amounted to £437 12s. 10d. The costs of Civil Bill proceedings, Sheriff's poundage, expenses, etc., amounted to £116, leaving £321 12s. 10d. available for discharge of the debt.
