Vol. 23 No. 16

PRIVATE BUSINESS. - TARIFF ON FLOUR—COMMISSION'S REPORT.

I would like to know whether the President of the Executive Council has been able to make the arrangements promised last week so that the Dáil may have an opportunity of discussing the report of the Tariff Commission on the application for a tariff on flour.

As this is the first occasion on which a report has come from the Tariff Commission of a character which is against the application made to it, I would suggest, in that connection, that the best course would be to put a question down, and if, when the question has been answered, the House deems that the attitude of the Executive Council is not satisfactory an occasion to raise it on the adjournment could be arranged, and I would be disposed on Wednesday afternoon to move the House adjourn at 8 o'clock and to devote the time from then until 10.30 to the discussion.

I give notice that I shall put down a question on Wednesday.
