IN COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. - MONEY RESOLUTION—COURTS OF JUSTICE BILL, 1928.

I beg to move:—

Chun críche aon Achta a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun an tAcht Cúirteanna Breithiúnais, 1924, do leasú, chun socrú do dhéanamh maidir le horduithe áirithe a dhin Máistir na hArd-Chúirte agus chun alt 70 den Dublin Police Act, 1842, do leasú, go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú (a) go gcuirfí mar mhuirear ar an bPrímh-Chiste, no ar a thora fáis, na tuarastail a bheidh ag Breithimh Bhreise den Chúirt Chuarda agus ag Breithimh Chonganta den Chúirt Dúithche a ceapfar fén Acht san agus (b) go n-íocfí amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas aon chostaisí eile fé n-a raghfar i gcur an Achta san in éifeacht.

That, for the purpose of any Act of the present Session to amend the Courts of Justice Act, 1924, to make provision in relation to certain orders made by the Master of the High Court and to amend Section 70 of the Dublin Police Act, 1842, it is expedient to authorise (a) the charge upon the Central Fund, or the growing produce thereof, of the salaries of Additional Judges of the Circuit Court and Assistant Justices of the District Court appointed under such Act, and (b) the payment out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas of any other expenses incurred in carrying such Act into effect.

It is anticipated that on the basis of a full year new expenditure of the following amount will have to be borne:—(a) Charge on Central Fund, salaries of two additional Circuit Judges, £3,400; salaries of four assistant District Justices. £3,200; pension charges, £825. (b) Charge on Circuit Court Vote, travelling expenses, £510; salaries of two criers, £375. (c) Charge on District Court Vote, travelling expenses, £600.
