Vol. 24 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - PROPOSED TIPPERARY SCHOOL.

asked the Minister for Education whether an inspector of the Education Department has visited Gurthacoole, Drombane, Thurles, with a view to inquiring into the need for a new school in the locality; and whether he will state the nature of the inspector's report and the decision of the Department on the matter.

An inspector of the Department visited Gurthacoole for the purpose mentioned, and his report has been received.

I am not yet in a position to communicate a decision. The parish priest, who is the manager of the National Schools in the district, is being consulted on the issue.

Departmental communications such as inspectors' reports are not available for the information of Deputies nor of the public.
