Vol. 24 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DISTRIBUTION OF HANDBILLS.

asked the Minister for Finance whether instructions have been issued to the Dublin Metropolitan Gárdaí to prevent the distribution of handbills in O'Connell Street, Dublin, and if so, whether he will consider the withdrawal of such instructions, in view of their effect on the considerable number of unemployed persons who obtain occasional work in distributing handbills.

Instructions have not been issued to the Gárda Síochána to prevent persons from distributing handbills in O'Connell Street, and persons so employed are not interfered with unless they cause obstruction or are found offending against the Corporation By-Laws by throwing the handbills on the street.
