Vol. 24 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - ERECTION OF NEW SCHOOL (ROSCOMMON).

asked the Minister for Education whether he will state the cause of the delay in starting the building of the proposed new school to replace the present schools at Cartron, Crossna and Kilfaughna, in the County Roscommon, for which a grant has been sanctioned and the site acquired, and whether he can state how soon the building operations will be put in hand.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been advised that a grant for the establishment of a new school has been sanctioned and have been requested to have arrangements made for the erection of the building as soon as possible.

Before the building of the school is commenced, certain legal requirements with regard to the ownership and leasing of the site, have, however, to be complied with.
