WRITTEN ANSWERS. - REFUND OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO DAIL EIREANN LOAN.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state what steps have been taken to refund the contributions to Dáil Eireann Loan, 1919-20, made by Pat Ganley, Shanwalla, Crossard, Ballyhaunis; Martin Kinane, Kilbrogan, Crossard; Hugh Nolan, Derryrockna; John Killeen, Carton, Crossard; Michael Curley, Crossbeg, Crossard; and whether he will state when payments are likely to be made to these subscribers.

There is no record in my Department of subscriptions to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan by any of the persons named in the Deputy's question. The applications of these persons will be considered in due course in the light of any evidence they may be in a position to submit in support of their claims.

Jordan, Crossard, Aughamore, Ballyhaunis; Patrick Moran, Colluaha, Logboy, Ballyhaunis; Thomas Stenson, Carrawbawn, Aughamore, Ballyhaunis; Richard Burke, Scrigg, Aughamore, Ballyhaunis; Thomas Loftus, Aurderry, Aughamore, Ballyhaunis; and Michael Henry, Cappagh, Aughamore, Ballyhaunis.

Authority to issue Savings Certificates to Thomas Ruane and Stephen Madden will be given to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs at an early date. There is no record in my Department of subscriptions to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan by any of the other persons named in the question, and none of them has submitted sufficient evidence to enable me to admit claim.
