Vol. 24 No. 10

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BALLYBUNION SEWERAGE SCHEME.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether a sewerage scheme for Ballybunion has been prepared; whether such scheme will soon be put into operation; if not; whether an extension of sewerage, to benefit a new terrace at the east end of the town, will be undertaken; whether he is aware that the aforesaid extension has been approved by the Kerry Board of Health; whether his Department have sanctioned it, and, if not, whether steps will be taken in the near future to have it carried out.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. Works are in progress. As regards the latter parts of the question the matter is one for the Board of Health, in the first place, acting on the advice of their Consulting Engineer. No representations have so far been received by me from the Board.
