Vol. 25 No. 1

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - LETTING OF PLOT AT ROSSCARBERY.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state the circumstances in which a letting of a plot attached to Rosscarbery Barrack was made to a substantial farmer and merchant; and whether the matter will be reviewed at the first opportunity, in order to give suitable applicants, who do not possess land, an opportunity of obtaining the letting.

The plot of land in which the former R.I.C. Barrack at Rosscarbery stood was let in 1927 on an eleven months' tenure to the only applicant for the place; in 1928 the letting to him was renewed for eleven months. The plot is being reserved in the event of its being required for a Gárda Síochána barracks later on.

Should the plot be available for letting when the present licence expires on the 30th November next, any applications received will be considered.
