Vol. 25 No. 5

(CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS). (ORAL ANSWERS). - LAIRAGE ACCOMMODATION AT THE NORTH WALL.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will adopt means to prevent the erection of a private covered lairage at the North Wall by the British and Irish Steam Packet Company, which, the general manager of that company stated before the Ports and Harbours Tribunal, it is intended to erect, until he receives the report of the Ports and Harbours Tribunal in regard to the erection of a public municipal lairage at the North Wall.

I have no powers to prevent a steamship company from providing additional facilities on its own property for dealing with traffic.
