Vol. 25 No. 5

(CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS). (ORAL ANSWERS). - OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM (WESTMEATH).

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state why Mrs. Mary Murtagh, of Mullaghcroy, Delvin, Co. Westmeath, has been refused the old age pension.

A second appeal has been received in this case. It seems the claimant receives maintenance from her son on a farm of 153 acres. It is estimated that her means, as calculated for old age pension purposes, are in excess of the statutory limit for the receipt of a pension but the claim will be investigated locally before a decision is given.
