Vol. 25 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ROSCARBERY POSTAL SERVICES.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he will now reconsider restoring the postal services formerly enjoyed by the people on the Derry and Benduff route, Roscarbery, Co. Cork.

The frequency of delivery on the Derry and Benduff route was reduced from six to three days a week in 1923 owing to the loss at which the service was being carried on. Even with the restricted delivery, the post is still unremunerative, and I regret, therefore, that an increase in the frequency of delivery cannot be granted.
