Vol. 25 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - THE JAMES BRANNICK ESTATE (CO. MAYO).

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he will state the cause of the delay in dividing the lands of the James Brannick Estate, Hollymount district, Co. Mayo, which was acquired by the Land Commission some time ago; and whether he will state when it is proposed to commerce draining and fencing the lands.

The lands of James Brannick, Co. Mayo, which have been acquired by the Land Commission, are being dealt with as expeditiously as possible. As soon as the Commissioners are in a position to distribute the lands amongst the selected allottees the work of fencing and drainage will be put in hands.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary give any date, in that case, as to when the work will start?

I cannot give a date. It will start very shortly.
