Vol. 26 No. 2

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - REPAIR OF COUNTY CORK ROAD.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is aware that the Cork County Council have allocated a sum of £1,000 for the repair of the road between Allihies Mines and Castletownbere, in order to facilitate transport by the Allihies Mines Copper Co., on condition that the grant of £4,000 is made by the Department; and whether, in view of the large amount of employment given in the district by this Company, and the possibilities of expansion in the industry, favourable consideration will be given to the proposal.

A communication to the effect mentioned by the Deputy was received yesterday from the Cork County Council. The matter will be investigated.
