CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ROAD FUND FINANCES.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he can state (a) the balance lying to the credit of the Road Fund on the 1st October, 1928; (b) the total amount of advances to be repaid from income; (c) the total of amounts allocated to local authorities, but uncalled on that date; and (d) how much of the £2,000,000 borrowed from the Central Fund two years ago remained unexpended on that date.

The figures in respect of the position on the 1st October, 1928, are as follow:—(a) £2,499 18s. 8d.; (b) £490,000; (c) £785,000; (d) £303,747. Of this latter figure £303,247 is included in the figure quoted at (c).
