Vol. 26 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ALLOCATION OF LAND IN ROSCOMMON.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether Austin Lowry, of Emlagh, Elphin, is about to surrender a farm at Killeen East, Elphin, in return for an exchange on the O'Connor (Woulfe-Flanagan) estate; whether an application has been received from John McCaffrey, of Tullylloyd, for a portion of the farm at Killeen East; whether this application has been considered, and with what result; whether other applications have been received for the same farm; and whether the Minister can state the names of the applicants and the valuations of their present holdings.

Austin Lowry offered to exchange his holding, comprising 23 acres of the lands of Killeen East and Ovaun, and an alternative holding was offered to him but he refused to accept it. John McCaffrey's application, with others, will be considered, should the Land Commission acquire the farm. It is not the practice of the Land Commission to furnish particulars such as those asked for in the concluding portion of the question.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary say if the application of John McCaffrey for a portion of the Woulfe-Flanagan estate will be considered?
