Vol. 26 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CONGESTION IN SLIGO.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that acute congestion prevails amongst the tenants adjoining the estate of I.R.P. Phibbs, Heathfield, Co. Sligo; and whether, in view of this fact, the Land Commission propose to acquire any ranch land in the vicinity, for the purpose of sub-division among the tenants.

The Land Commission are aware that there are a number of small holdings in the vicinity of Heathfield demesne comprising portions of the lands of Ballynaboll and Lissaneena in this estate, and have made the owner an offer to purchase which is being considered by him.
