Vol. 26 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - SMYTH ESTATE (CO. WESTMEATH).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether any decision has been arrived at as to the acquisition of the lands of Balreagh, Smyth Estate, Co. Westmeath, Reference No. S.108; and whether he is aware that there are a large number of uneconomic holders in this district.

The lands referred to appear to be the holding of Mrs. Taylor, which, on the vesting of the Estate of R.A.E. Smyth under the Land Act, 1923, was retained by the Land Commission under Section 28 of the Act.

The Commissioners propose to resume the greater portion of the holding, but an objection has been lodged by the tenant and is under consideration.
