Vol. 26 No. 5

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - REGISTRATION OF DUBLIN UNEMPLOYED.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will state the number of unemployed now registering at Dublin Labour Exchange; and whether any programme is at present under consideration for the early employment of any of those now registered.

The number of persons registered as unemployed at the Dublin Employment Exchange on the 15th instant was 7,067, made up of 5,167 men, 1,212 women, 308 boys and 380 girls. Those registered will be duly submitted for all vacancies notified to the Exchange, but the Minister has no funds at his disposal out of which special employment could be provided.
