CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - APPOINTMENTS IN VOLUNTARY HOSPITALS.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether any governmental control is exercised over appointments of staff in voluntary hospitals receiving grants from public funds.

In the case of the House of Industry Hospitals, the Board of Governors, subject to approval, regulate the number of officers, etc., and may remove them and appoint others in their stead. No governmental control is exercised over the appointment of staff in other voluntary hospitals receiving grants from public funds.
