Vol. 27 No. 4

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - PENSIONS OF IRISH LIGHTS EX-EMPLOYEES.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is prepared to reconsider his attitude in connection with the claim of ex-employees of the Irish Lights service to have the bonus based on the Irish cost of living figure for pension purposes, in view of the fact that the British Board of Trade have indicated their willingness to pay on this basis, provided that agreement is forthcoming from the Saorstát Government.

As I indicated during the debate on the Estimate for the Department of Finance, I am again looking into the matter to which the Deputy refers in the question.
