Cork, which was retained by the authorities when he was sentenced to five years' penal servitude, was not returned to the prisoner's sister when she applied for it; if he will state the reason for the retention of the razor, and whether, in view of the fact that this razor is a souvenir, steps will be taken to have it given over to the prisoner's sister.

Instructions are being issued to have the razor referred to handed over to the prisoner's sister, if the prisoner agrees to this being done.
Is the Minister aware that this application was handed to the Superintendent of the Gárda Síochána at Blarney, and the reply received from the Superintendent was that as this razor was an exhibit it was forfeited by the Judge in the Central Criminal Court who tried the case, and will he tell us since when has a razor been considered an illegal weapon?
Is it a safety razor?
I am perfectly unaware of the matter which the Deputy alleges. The Deputy might also inform us why this is a valuable souvenir.
