Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Upton Estate (Moate).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will state what steps, if any, the Land Commission have taken to purchase the estate of H.A. Upton, Coolatore, Moate, Westmeath; and whether the owner has on several occasions offered his property for sale to the Land Commission.

The Land Commissioners made an offer for the purchase of the lands of Coolatore, containing 339a. 1r. 0p., on the Upton estate. The offer was refused by the owner. The Commissioners do not propose to take any further action regarding their acquisition.
