Vol. 28 No. 10

Written Answers. - Livesay (Co. Mayo) Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is aware that acute congestion exists on the estate of trustees of C.E. Livesay, Co. Mayo (Record No. S. 6000); that there are 56 tenants on the estate whose valuations are under £2 each, and if he will state what steps, if any, are being taken to acquire the large untenanted grazing ranch held by Captain Hodgsons, on the same estate, for the relief of the existing congestion.

The Land Commission are aware of the congestion existing on the Livesay Estate. An inspector has been directed to report on the untenanted lands of Kilbride held by Captain Hodgson.
