Vol. 28 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - West Cork Improvement Schemes.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state the number of schemes for improvement work submitted to the Department by Deputies from West Cork, and the number that have been examined and reported on, and whether it is proposed to execute any of the works that have been strongly recommended in different areas in West Cork.

I have received lists of suggested works in West Cork. They are being enquired into, but the powers of the Land Commission to expend money are confined to expenditure necessary for the improvement of lands being sold under the Land Purchase Acts.
