Vol. 28 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dunmanway Pension Application.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that in dealing with a recent application for the old age pension made by Timothy Hurley, Lettergorman, Dunmanway, the Pension Officer estimated the applicant received five pounds per year from his daughter in America; if he will state whether this is a general practice in estimating claims, and what justification there is for making such an assessment.

Local inquiries will have to be made in this case and the Minister would ask the Deputy to repeat the question after the Easter recess, when he hopes to be in a position to reply.
