Vol. 29 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - An Athboy Sire.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the fee charged by Mr. Geo. E. Moore, Frayne, Athboy, for "Scarrogh," a "Tetratema" sire, and if he will further state the price paid for this sire in Newmarket, and the price or terms at which he was given to said Mr. Moore.

Mr. Hogan

The fee charged for service by the thoroughbred stallion "Scarrough," is £9 9s. for thoroughbred mares, and £5 5s. for half-bred mares, inclusive.

It is not in the public interest to disclose the prices paid for stallions by the Department, or the prices at which such sires are sold. If the Deputy so desires, I am prepared to give him the particulars for his own information.
