Vol. 32 No. 9

Question on Adjournment.

Deputy O'Dowd wishes to raise the subject matter of question No. 11 on the adjournment. Deputy Carney gave notice last week of a matter that he wishes to raise similarly, which could not be taken during that week. Deputy Carney has intimated to me his intention of raising the matter this evening.

I am quite willing to allow Deputy Carney to go ahead this evening, but I want to be given an opportunity of raising this matter on the next available occasion.

If the Deputy will give notice at the next sitting we will then solve the problem when it arises.

I would be quite satisfied if the Parliamentary Secretary would give an assurance now that before the next sitting this matter will be dealt with and that there will not be any necessity to raise it.
