Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Co. Kildare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether the Land Commission propose to acquire for the relief of congestion the farm containing 77 acres, 0 roods, 22 perches held by Mr. Edward Neill in the townland of Calverstown, electoral division of Ballyshannon, Co. Kildare; further, whether he is aware that the lands, which are being neglected by the owner are very suitable for division amongst a number of deserving congests whose holdings are in the immediate vicinity.

The lands of Calyerstown referred to containing 77 acres, 0 roods, 22 perches have been purchased under the Land Purchase Acts and are subject to a Land Purchase Annuity.

The Land Commission do not propose to take any action with regard to their acquisition.
