Vol. 34 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Compensation to Employees of Pigeon House Fort.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether it is his intention to introduce proposals for legislation to amend the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1927, with a view to providing for or granting compensation to the employees of the Electricity Supply Station, Pigeon House Fort, Dublin, who were discharged as a result of the taking over of this station under the Electricity Supply Board; and, if so, if he will state when such proposals for legislation will be introduced.

I hope to introduce a Bill dealing with this matter within the next three weeks.

Will the men who were employed at the Limerick Power House be taken into consideration?

This only has regard to the Dublin station. Anything else is a new question.

Mr. Bourke

I hope Limerick will be remembered also.
