Vol. 34 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Resumption Notices.

Mr. Jordan

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if the Land Commission will furnish a copy of the resumption notices served on Henry H. Lewis regarding the tenancies claimed by him on the estate of his nephew, J. A. Lewis, Co. Galway (Record No. S.1990, and 19, 27, 28 on the Provisional List), and also if the Land Commission will furnish a copy of the objections lodged against the resumptions (and subsequently withdrawn) by Henry H. Lewis, and, if not, to state the reason why.

Notices of the intention of the Land Commission to apply to the Judicial Commissioner for an order authorising the resumption of the retained holdings (Reg. Nos. 19, 27 and 28) of Henry H. Lewis were issued to the latter on the 3rd November, 1928. A copy of each Notice may be obtained on application to the Records Branch of the Land Commission and on payment of the prescribed fee.

There was no objection lodged in the Land Commission to the resumption of these holdings.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary state what is the prescribed fee?

I think it is a shilling.
