asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the ranches held by Mr. J.J. Hession and Mrs. Anna Fitzpatrick, on the Eager Estate, Frenchgrove, Hollymount, County Mayo, with a view to dividing them among the many uneconomic holders on the same estate; and, if so, whether he can say when it is proposed to take action in the matter.

The Lands of French-grove referred to appear to be a holding of 212a. 3r. 2p., held by James Joseph Hession and Annie Fitzpatrick (wife of Patrick Fitzpatrick) as joint tenants on the estate of Francis J.M. Eager. This holding has been retained by the Land Commission under Section 28 (6) of the Land Act, 1923, and the Appointed Day has been fixed in respect of it and proceedings are now being instituted for its resumption.
