asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that certain persons registered in the Register for Dentists for Saorstát Eireann under Section 28 of the Dentists Act, 1928, have not been registered on the General Dental Register in England, and if he will take steps to provide that such persons are so registered on the General Dental Register.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The General Dental Register is not in force in Saorstát Eireann. It does not, therefore, come within my jurisdiction. Registration in the Register of Dentists for Saorstát Eireann does not of itself confer a title to registration in the General Dentists Register.
