Vol. 34 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Analysis of Old Age Pensions.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will furnish a detailed analysis in reference to old age pensions for each of the financial years 1922-1923 up to and including the year 1929-1930 in a similar manuer to the analysis of old age pensions given in the statistical abstract for the United Kingdom for the financial year ended 31st March, 1922 (70th Edition, pages 60 and 61).

As the answer is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose to circulate it in the Official Report. It contains the required particulars except as regards the year ending 31st March, 1930, for which figures will be available shortly. Following is the answer:—

OLD AGE PENSIONS.

Number of Pensions Payable on last Friday in March in each Year, and the Total Value of Orders Paid during each Year.

Years ended 31st March.

Number of Pensions payable on the last Friday in March.

Number of Pensions of the undermentioned amounts payable on the last Friday in March.

Total Value of Orders paid in the year.
