Vol. 34 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - High Hoardings at Bridges.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that much inconvenience and danger to motorists is caused by the high hoardings at the bridges crossing the canals in the city; and whether he will take measures to have them removed from these danger points.

This matter is receiving the attention of the local authorities concerned, and of the proprietors of the hoardings. It is understood that the wishes of the local authorities are being met.

Might I ask the Minister if any steps have been taken to widen the bridges on the canal in the vicinity of the city?

I understand that at least one widening has taken place, but I think that is a separate question. If it is desired to make any representations on that matter, they should be made to the Commissioners.
