Vol. 34 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Alleged Victimisation of D.M. Gárda.

Pádraig O hOgáin

(An Clár) asked the Minister for Justice if he is prepared to grant an inquiry into the allegations of victimisation made by Michael Bermingham, a member of the Dublin Metropolitan Gárda, regarding his pension and promotion rights.

The man referred to in the question retired from the Gárda Síochána on the 11th ultimo on reaching the maximum age limit. There is not the slightest ground for any suggestion of victimisation in this case. The answer to the question is accordingly in the negative.
