Vol. 35 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Baltimore and Cape Clear Boat Service.

(Cork) asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that the present service for mails, passengers and cargo between Baltimore and Cape Clear is carried on by means of a most unsatisfactory boat, and whether he can give any assurance that an improved boat will be available for the service before next winter.

Proposals of a definite character for the installation of a more satisfactory service are at present awaiting the necessary approvals, and I feel some confidence that the service will be available before next winter.

Mr. Sheehy

I am very glad to hear that, and so will the people of Cape Clear.
