Vol. 35 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Nenagh River.

asked the Minister for Finance whether a scheme for the drainage of the Nenagh River has been considered by the Board of Works; and, if so, whether he can state the present position of the proceedings in connection therewith, and when the work may be expected to commence.

The Commissioners of Public Works have almost completed their investigations in connection with the scheme for the drainage of the Nenagh River, and are at present considering the probable effect which the Shannon Power (partial) Development Scheme will have on the outfall. As matters stand it cannot be stated when a commencement is likely to be made with the drainage operations.
