Vol. 35 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wynne Estate (Co. Kerry).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state whether the Wynne Estate, Glenbeigh, Co. Kerry, was purchased over 24 years ago; and whether there are holdings in this estate which are not yet vested in the tenants; and, if so, whether he will cause these holdings to be vested immediately and have roads made to turbary where the ground was lockspitted for that purpose years ago.

The Winn Estate was vested in the late Congested Districts Board in July, 1907, and 180 holdings thereon have been vested in purchasers on resale. The remainder of the estate includes holdings for which purchase agreements were tendered for signature, but the tenants refused to sign them and a number of holdings requiring rearrangement, which the tenants failed to agree to. Another attempt will be made to induce the tenants to agree to the proposed rearrangements, when the question of roads to turbary will be considered.
