Vol. 35 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing Conditions in Templeogue (Co. Dublin).

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if his attention has been drawn to the report of the sanitary sub-officer of the South Dublin Rural District Council, dealing with the deplorable conditions under which several families are living in the district of Templeogue, and if he will state what action, if any, he proposes to take.

It is understood that reports on this matter were received by the South Dublin Rural District Council from the medical officer of health as to the insanitary conditions under which four families live at Spawell, Templeogue. The Council considered the situation at their meeting on the 3rd June, 1930, and they are dealing with it.

Is the Minister satisfied that the question will be dealt with expeditiously?

Any information I have would go to show that the council, having a statutory duty, are carrying it out, and that these points simply now arise for discussion as the council are carrying out their duties.
