Vol. 35 No. 8

Written Answer. - Dáil Eireann Loan.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state if he has in his Department a list of subscribers to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan (1919-20), from the Hospital, Co. Limerick district; if the name of Mrs. Margaret Power, Main Street, appears thereon; and, if so, will he state the reason why payment is withheld from this subscriber.

The name of Mrs. Margaret Power does not appear in the lists of subscribers to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan, 1919/20, in the Hospital, County Limerick, district, which have been received in my Department.

One of the lists, however, contains particulars of a subscription by a Mr. Thomas Power, now deceased, and an application for repayment in respect thereof has been received from a Mrs. Margaret Power, of Hospital. Particulars of this subscription were not furnished to the Dáil Department of Finance during the period in which the loan was raised and it does not therefore appear in the primary register of subscribers. The application referred to is at present under consideration and I hope to be in a position to arrive at a decision thereon at an early date.
