Written Answers. - Acquisition of Kerry Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the lands of Ballycarthy (Estate Ballycarthy), Ballymacelligott, Co. Kerry, and divide them amongst the local uneconomic small farmers and labourers.

The Land Commission do not propose to take any action regarding the acquisition of lands in the townland of Ballycarthy.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if the Land Commission will acquire the lands (area 98 acres) of Mr. David Herlihy, Ballymacadam, Castleisland, Co. Kerry (Estate Marshall), for the purpose of distribution amongst the local uneconomic holders.

The Land Commission do not propose to take any action at present regarding the lands of Ballymacadam, which are subject to a Land Purchase annuity. The matter has been noted for reconsideration at a later date.
