Vol. 36 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Blakney's Estate (Co. Galway).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will state what steps are being taken by his Department to relieve the congestion which exists in the Blakney's Estate, Castleblakney, Co. Galway.

The holdings of the tenants on the Blakney Estate, Castleblakney, were rearranged and enlarged by the Land Commission a number of years ago and since that time further enlargements have been given from lands acquired under the 1923 Act and previous Acts.

Has the Parliamentary Secretary received any application from people on this estate for additions to their present holdings or for new holdings?

They have been given additions to their present holdings already.

Has the Parliamentary Secretary received any further applications?

That is quite a different question.

Then you have not gone into the question at all.
