Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Untenanted Lands in County Kildare.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will instruct the Land Commission to acquire for the relief of congestion the untenanted lands containing 148 acres, 2 roods, 5 perches, valuation £80, held by the Representatives of Patrick Fegan, in the townlands of Broadfield, electoral division of Naas Rural, Co. Kildare.

There are no proceedings before the Land Commission for the acquisition of the lands of Broadfield held by the Representatives of Patrick Fegan, but inquiry will now be made regarding them.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will instruct the Land Commission to acquire for the relief of congestion the untenanted lands containing 409 acres, 3 roods, 7 perches, in seven parcels, on the Verschoyle Estate, in the townland of Cloney, electoral division of Kilberry, Co. Kildare.

The Land Commission are unable to identify the particular lands of Cloney on the Verschoyle Estate, to which the Deputy refers. They have already acquired an area of 547 acres in this townland on the estate of A. E. Verschoyle, consisting of bog, for which a scheme of division is in course of preparation.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will instruct the Land Commission to acquire for the relief of congestion the untenanted lands, other than demesne lands, containing about 83 acres, valuation £75 10s. 0d., held by Baron de Roebeck, in the townland of Swordlestown South, electoral division of Killashee, Co. Kildare.

Inquiries have been made regarding the lands of Swordlestown South, the property of Baron de Roebeck, and the question of their acquisition is at present under consideration.
