Vol. 37 No. 8

Written Answers. - Foxford (Mayo) Pension Claim.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that a blind pension of 10/- a week, which was awarded to John Clarke by the Foxford, County Mayo, Sub-Committee, and supported by the Medical Officer of the district, has been appealed against by the pension officer; and if he will confirm the finding of the Sub-Committee.

An appeal is at present before the Department in this case on the ground that satisfactory evidence of blindness has not been produced. The medical evidence so far furnished with the present claim is not sufficient to warrant the allowance of a pension.
