Vol. 37 No. 11

Written Answers. - Limerick Subscribers to Dáil Loan.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has in his Department evidence that Mrs. Hanora Naughton, Ballygrennan, Bruff, Co. Limerick, subscribed £20 to Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan (1919-1920); and, if so, will he state whether it is his intention to place her name on the primary list of subscribers.

Satisfactory evidence has now been furnished by Mrs. Hanora Naughton, Ballgrennan, Bruff, Co. Limerick, in support of her claim for repayment in respect of a sum of £20 subscribed by her to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan, 1919-20, and authority will shortly be given to the Accountant, Department of Posts and Telegraphs, for the issue to Mrs. Naughton of a Savings Certificate which will enable her to obtain repayment in respect of her subscription.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state if payment in respect of a subscription of £3 to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan (1919-1920) has been made to Mrs. Mary McMahon, Ballinagoul, Glin, Co. Limerick; and, if not, will he state the reason for deferring payment to this subscriber.

Authority will shortly be given to the Accountant, Department of Posts and Telegraphs, for the issue to Mrs. Mary McMahon, Ballinagoul, Glin, County Limerick, of a Savings Certificate which will enable her to obtain repayment in respect of her subscription of £3 to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan, 1919-20. The delay in authorising repayment in this case was due to the fact that particulars of Mrs. McMahon's subscription were not forwarded to the Dáil Finance Department during the period in which the Loan was raised.
