Vol. 37 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Insurance Benefit (Droichead Nua Case).

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that James McGee, James's Street, Droichead Nua, Co. Kildare, Serial No. 3129, Droichead Nua Office, who lodged a claim to unemployment insurance benefit on the 6th November, 1930, has been refused benefit on the grounds that his wife was in receipt of 10/- per week, tuberculosis benefit, from the Board of Health; and whether he will have inquiries made in the case with a view to payment from the date of lodgment of claim.

James McGee has been paid unemployment benefit in respect of himself and increased benefit in respect of seven children from November 6th up to the 4th instant. His claim for increased benefit in respect of his wife has been considered and allowed, and payment will be made to him in due course.
